Projects we’ve worked on:
Community Food Centres Canada, Toronto, Canada, ongoing since 2014

Terrapin worked with program development and fundraising staff at CFCC to complete federal government grant applications, budgets, and funding strategies for three different programs. The five year FoodFit project was launched in 2016 with generous funding from the Public Health Agency of Canada’s Multi-sectoral Partnership Grants Program. In 2019, two more programs, Market Greens and a Youth Mental Health pilot project, successfully received funding from PHAC grant streams. Terrapin has completed annual FoodFit evaluation reports and contributes to biannual grant reports to the Public Health Agency.

Real Food for Real Kids, Toronto, Canada, 2015 – 2016

Terrapin was contracted by Real Food for Real Kids, a healthy catering company based in Toronto, to complete grant applications to the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs for two critical pieces of food production equipment. The successful grant applications have helped the organization scale up their operations and better deliver their mission to connect children and families to real food, grown by local farmers and producers, and inspire future generations to make healthier choices, every day.
